FAQs
Weight Loss Questions, Answered
A private weight loss clinic provides medical and lifestyle support to help people manage their weight. Depending on your health status, circumstances and eligibility, treatment may include prescription medical weight loss medication, nutritional guidance, behavioural support and regular medical reviews.
At Envigore, treatment starts with an online medical assessment and clinical review. If treatment is appropriate, your personalised plan may include prescription weight loss medication alongside nutritional, behavioural and ongoing clinical support.
There is no single treatment that is suitable for everyone. The most appropriate approach depends on factors such as your starting weight, health, medical history, lifestyle, goals and any existing conditions such as high blood pressure.
At Envigore, our clinicians assess your individual circumstances before recommending a suitable treatment. This may include prescription medication, nutritional support, behaviour change and other lifestyle approaches.
The aim is to find an approach that supports sustainable weight loss and lasting results.
Envigore’s weight management programme is designed for adults who may benefit from medical support with weight management.
Eligibility for prescription treatment is assessed individually based on factors such as BMI, health history, existing conditions and current medication.
Find details on our weight loss programme page.
Our Weight Loss Programme combines ongoing clinical guidance and expert recommendations with weight loss medications where appropriate.
By focusing on the crucial aspects of weight management, we aim to give you the tools and support to work towards sustainable weight reduction.
The time to see results varies by individual, but healthy weight loss is a gradual process. Maintaining weight loss is one of the biggest challenges, which is why the Envigore programme incorporates behaviour modification. Our programme focuses on crucial aspects of health, including nutrition, exercise and mindset.
We understand that you may already have a prescription from your GP, and we appreciate your interest in our programme. Here’s how our prescription policy works:
Our Prescription Approach:
To ensure safety and consistency, we only dispense medication based on prescriptions issued and authorised by our own prescribers. While we respect the expertise of external healthcare providers, we cannot accept external prescriptions.
Why We Follow This Policy:
Consistency: It ensures a consistent treatment approach.
Safety: This helps us uphold our stringent safety standards.
Regulatory Compliance: This policy aligns with online pharmacy regulations.
Comprehensive Care: It allows us to offer complete care, including follow-ups and adjustments.
Next Steps:
If you’re considering joining the Envigore Weight Loss Programme, please complete our eligibility questionnaire to see if you qualify. Our clinical team will then review your responses to assess your eligibility.
If you already have a GP prescription:
You may wish to discuss our services with your GP for their input.
They can advise whether our treatments might suit your needs.
If you’re on GLP-1 medication, you may be able to continue at your current dose with Envigore.
At present, due to prescribing regulations, Envigore is only authorised to prescribe and deliver treatments to addresses within the United Kingdom.

For your ID to be accepted, it must clearly show:
Your full name

Even if your ID is expired, it can still be used as long as it remains a true likeness of you and your name and date of birth have not changed.

At Envigore, we’re committed to making quality healthcare more accessible. The process is straightforward:
First, you’ll complete our simple medical questionnaire, which typically takes 5-10 minutes. This allows you to either select your preferred treatment or request a personalised recommendation.
Next, one of our GPhC-registered pharmacists will review your questionnaire responses. If your preferred treatment is deemed safe and suitable, we’ll proceed with your prescription. If not, we’ll suggest an alternative option or guide the next steps.
Once your prescription has been approved and dispensed by our pharmacy partners, your medication will be posted to you using standard next-day delivery. To maintain your privacy, your order will always be delivered in discreet packaging.
If you have any questions about a suitable option for you, please don’t hesitate to message our patient care team at enquiries@envigore.com, and we’ll respond as soon as possible.
Envigore also offers a selection of non-prescription wellness products through our online shop.

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription injection. It’s used to help manage type 2 diabetes and support weight loss. It works in a unique way. It acts on two hormones, GLP-1 and GIP, that help your body release insulin when blood sugar rises. At the same time, it lowers the amount of sugar-raising hormone your liver releases. Together, this helps keep blood sugar levels more stable.
Mounjaro can also regulate appetite and slow gastric emptying, which may help you feel fuller for longer and reduce food intake. This can support weight loss in people for whom the treatment is clinically appropriate.

Wegovy (semaglutide) is a medication approved for weight loss and obesity. It comes as an injection or in pill form. It belongs to a group of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists. In simple terms, it mimics a hormone your body already makes to control hunger and blood sugar.
Wegovy works mainly by turning down hunger signals. It also slows digestion, so you feel fuller for longer and naturally eat less. Over time, this adds up to meaningful weight loss.
It can also help improve blood sugar levels, even in people without diabetes. That makes it a helpful option for people managing both weight and related health concerns.
You’ll have access to a friendly, knowledgeable care team that can help with everything from medication side effects to exercise routines and lifestyle tips. Whether it’s a quick question or deeper support, you always have help from professionals.
Yes, absolutely. Our nurse-led team is here for you. If you’re unsure about your progress, need help managing side effects, or just want reassurance, you can reach out any time.
The initial steps, like your health assessment and prescription review, happen online, but you’ll always have real people on hand to guide you. We offer regular check-ins virtually and personal messaging support when you need it.
We regularly check in by email, especially during the early stages of treatment. You can also contact us at any time; we’re here when it matters most.
We’re much more than a pharmacy. Envigore combines expert prescribing with ongoing support, lifestyle tools, mindset coaching (like hypnotherapy), and holistic care for lasting weight loss.

Semaglutide and tirzepatide have both been approved for the long-term management of obesity. Clinical trials also demonstrated that both of these medications lowered the risk of adverse cardiovascular events, including a heart attack or stroke.
Our clinicians will work with you to determine the ideal duration to remain on the prescribed medication based on your individual circumstances.
The most common side effects of GLP-1 medications are gastrointestinal, including nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and constipation. These side effects typically subside as your body adjusts to the medication. For a comprehensive list of side effects, including the less common ones, always refer to the Patient Information Leaflet.
There are a few key contraindications to be aware of when it comes to using the weight loss medications Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide):
Mounjaro:
Patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (a rare type of thyroid cancer) should not use Mounjaro.
Mounjaro is not recommended for use in patients with a history of pancreatitis or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome Type 2.
Wegovy:
Similar to Mounjaro, Wegovy should not be used in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma.
Wegovy is also not recommended for use in patients with a history of pancreatitis.
Additionally, both Mounjaro and Wegovy should be used with caution in patients with severe gastrointestinal disease, as the medications can exacerbate these conditions.
Patients must be thoroughly honest when completing our assessment and when discussing their full medical history with our prescribers and healthcare team before starting on either of these weight loss medications, so any potential contraindications can be properly evaluated and addressed. Monitoring for any concerning side effects is also crucial throughout the course of treatment.
Mounjaro and Wegovy can interact with some medicines, particularly those used to manage type 2 diabetes, which may increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia). Your clinician will review your medicines and advise if any changes are needed.
Both medicines can also slow stomach emptying, which may affect how some oral medicines are absorbed. Your clinician will check for potential interactions and adjust your treatment if needed.
If you have concerns about medication interactions, please schedule a call with a member of our team for personalised guidance and recommendations.
