At Envigore, we offer personalised support from experienced clinicians and a team that understands your journey, guiding you through safe, sustainable weight loss treatments with expert medical care.

Explore Your Evidence-Based Weight Loss Treatment

Envigore offers evidence-based support, fully backed by our team, because your weight-loss journey deserves expert care. Prescription weight-loss medications target hormones that regulate your appetite and metabolism. You may experience reduced hunger and satiety. Since this is a non-surgical weight loss treatment, it is easier to maintain a reduced-calorie diet and build healthy lifestyle changes that stick.

Whether you’re looking to lose weight for the first time or have tried other routes before, our weight loss programme is built around you and your physical health. It combines prescription medication with one-to-one support from nurses, prescribers, and lifestyle coaches to help you reach a healthy weight.

GLP-1 treatments are among the most studied prescription medications for weight loss. In clinical studies, they have shown that you can lose weight and body fat, with patients losing a significant proportion of their body weight over the course of treatment. Evidence also suggests that reducing excess weight through these treatments can improve weight-related health problems, such as:

For people experiencing weight gain due to hormonal changes, metabolic factors, or other serious health conditions, a clinician-led weight-loss treatment can provide medically supported progress. All prescriptions are dispensed by our exclusive GPhC-registered pharmacy partner, Right Medicine Pharmacy Group.

FAQs

Still Wondering About Something?

GLP-1 medications like Wegovy and Mounjaro are prescription treatments that mimic a natural hormone to help reduce appetite, regulate blood sugar, and promote weight loss. They’re prescribed as part of a broader weight management programme that focuses on healthy eating and lifestyle support.

They work by slowing digestion, reducing hunger and cravings, and helping you feel fuller for longer. This supports consistent weight loss when combined with lifestyle changes.

No. Both are GLP-1s, but they work slightly differently. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) also targets an additional hormone for potentially greater weight loss, while Wegovy (semaglutide) is primarily GLP-1-based. Both are MHRA-authorised for weight management.

Clinical trials show that patients on Mounjaro may lose up to 20.9% of their body weight, while Wegovy participants lose around 15%, especially when paired with healthy habits. However, each person is different, and results can vary. How much weight you lose will depend on how you start and your response to treatment.

Once you’ve reached your goal, our weight loss maintenance programme is there to help you sustain your progress long-term, because keeping weight off is just as important as losing it. Our team will help you build a healthy diet to support weight loss. If you’re considering weight loss treatment, we suggest starting with a quick online consultation. Our clinical team members will guide you through everything.

If you are starting on weight loss medication, you may qualify if your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher, or 27+ with a weight-related health condition such as:

  • Type 2 diabetes

  • High blood pressure

  • PCOS

This is consistent with NICE clinical guidelines, which cover the use of prescription weight-loss treatments in adults, including recommendations on semaglutide and tirzepatide to treat obesity.

However, there are many other factors which can affect your eligibility for the medication.

Yes. These prescription weight loss medications may be a suitable option if you haven’t had lasting success with a balanced diet and exercise alone. This is where clinical support from a registered dietician can make a real difference.

You must be 18 or over for adult treatment.

Your medical history will be carefully reviewed during your consultation to ensure the treatment is safe to use alongside any existing medications. It’s important that you share all relevant health and medication information during your assessment so our prescribers can accurately evaluate your suitability.

Once a week, on the same day each week. Treatment usually begins at a lower dose to help your body adjust, then gradually increases to your target dose over several weeks.

Using a simple pre-filled pen. You can inject into your stomach, thigh, or upper arm. We provide full instructions and guidance.

Not necessarily, but staying consistent with the same time each week is important.

In the event of a missed dose, take it as soon as possible, provided this is within 4 days of the scheduled time.

If more than 4 days have passed, skip the missed dose and proceed with the next dose on the usual scheduled day.

Afterwards, simply continue with the standard once-weekly dosing routine.

You can pause at any time, but we recommend speaking with our team first to make sure it’s done safely and at the right stage of your treatment.

There is no specific antidote for an overdose of these medications. Your symptoms will be monitored and managed by a clinician over time, as both treatments remain active in your body for around five days after your last dose. You can find full safety information in the patient information leaflet for each medication.

If you have taken an extra dose or suspect an overdose with this medication, please contact us immediately to arrange a consultation with one of our specialist clinicians who will assess your clinical symptoms.

Patients may experience gastrointestinal side effects, such as nausea.

There is no specific antidote for an overdose of Mounjaro or Wegovy. Monitoring and management of symptoms may be required over an extended period, due to the approximate 5-day half-life of both Mounjaro and Wegovy.

The duration of a weight loss programme varies depending on your progress, clinical goals, and how your body responds to treatment. GLP-1 medications are typically prescribed for an initial period with regular clinical reviews.

Your prescriber will advise you on how long to continue and when to consider transitioning to a weight-loss maintenance programme. Healthy lifestyle changes, including healthy eating and physical activity, remain important throughout and after any treatment period. If you’d like to find out more about which weight loss treatments could work for you, contact our weight loss specialists today.
